- Sarai didn’t try to fix things, she responded with emotion.
- Good sense seems to have left everyone because this situation was created because of a lack of good sense.
- God promised Hagar a positive thing. “Wild donkey of a man” here refers to actual wild donkeys at the time which were free and looked more like horses than donkeys so they were better looking than their heritage. Her son would not be a slave, dehumanized as his mother.
The sin committed had a quick fix benefit but a long reaching consequence. Like the super drugs that are peddled today, saying the benefit in 2 seconds and 2 minutes saying the negative side effects.
