April 30th, 2021-Abe’s test-Genesis 22 tells us of Abraham’s test.
God called him and his response was here I am, how do we respond when God calls us? He calls us in situations where we have been taught to behave better, stand up, make a difference etc. Abraham got instructions to burn his only son at the end of a three day journey and he woke early the next day to leave…he had so much time to dodge, make excuses, say, “No,” but he never did. He moved. Isaac was an adult scholars’ opinions range from 20 to 37 years of age. He carried the wood for the sacrifice, himself. God provided and Abraham was faithful in this most difficult of situations. Isaac was special among the patriarchs of the Bible, he never left the land of Canaan.
