May 21st, 2021-Advice for young women– When she saw Isaac approaching, she veiled herself…not only due to custom but to respect her future husband, her life, self and God. We live in a world where veiling oneself is not the norm and women are encouraged to reveal. God’s plan for us includes intimacy in this world but that must be done according to God’s plan. When we do what we want, we suffer. Not just because we face punishment but because His plan is perfect. There is no regret in following God’s plan because it makes for greatness. Young ladies should be attired modestly, not to attract attention from desperate men. This has nothing to do with victim shaming assault sufferers. The attention leads to inappropriate advances and lends itself to inviting the presence of demons in our relationships. Girls have so many ‘friends’ that it is not surprising how many are disappointed in relationships. When one has no discretion about whom one invites to one’s life, one cannot help but encounter nonsense. If we let all kinds of
garbage in, do we expect the place to smell like a flower bouquet?
